Music Society named after I.J. Paderewski in Bydgoszcz
The Music Society in Bydgoszcz (Towarzystwo Muzyczne) was founded in 1922. In 1986, the Society adopted the name of Ignacy Jan Paderewski and its statutory objective became looking after the memory of this Great Pole, promoting his music and ideas. The Society is the main organiser of the International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz.
The President of the Administration Board of the Society is Prof. Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, a world-renowned pianist and pedagogue.
